Section 10.37.04.02 - Definitions

A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

B. Terms Defined.

(1) "Health Services Cost Review Commission (Commission)" means the independent organization within the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene that is responsible for reviewing and approving rates for hospitals pursuant to Health-General Article, §19-201 et seq., Annotated Code of Maryland.

(2) "Hospital outpatient" means an encounter or visit to a hospital that does not result in an admission to the hospital.
