Section XLV-2567 - Waiver of RequirementsA. The board may, in its discretion upon the recommendation of the advisory committee, waive all or part of the continuing professional education required by these rules in favor of a respiratory therapist who makes a written request for such waiver to the board and evidences to its satisfaction a permanent physical disability, illness, financial hardship or other similar extenuating circumstances precluding the individual's satisfaction of the continuing professional education requirement. Any licensed respiratory therapist submitting a continuing professional education waiver request is required to do so on or before the date specified for the renewal of the licensee's license by §2543 Any request received by the board past the date for licensure renewal will not be considered for waiver but, rather, in accordance with the provisions of §2565La. Admin. Code tit. 46, § XLV-2567
