Pursuant to the authority of Iowa Code section 272C.3(1)"k," the board establishes the committee for the Iowa monitoring program for pharmacy professionals. The purpose of the committee is to provide a program to support the evaluation and monitoring of licensees who are impaired as a result of alcohol or drug abuse, dependency, or addiction, or by any mental or physical disorder or disability, while protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public.
