Sec. 8.
"Case" means a person, living or deceased, who:
(1) harbors a communicable disease, usually in the presence of discernible clinical disease, symptoms, or signs; and(2) may serve as a potential source of infection. Specific case definitions are defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists.
