Sec. 2.
(a) An appointing authority or their designee may suspend an employee without pay for disciplinary purposes by presenting the employee with a written notice of suspension, a copy of which is filed with the director. If the employee is not available, written notice is sent to the employee's last known address.(b) An appointing authority or their designee may suspend an employee without pay pending an investigation or trial of charges against the employee.
