Section 19-15.1-13 - Stationary vehicles

No person shall cause or allow any engine of a motor vehicle to remain in operation while the vehicle is stationary at a loading zone, parking or servicing area, route terminal, or other off-street areas, except:

(1) During adjustment or repairing of the engine at a designated place; or
(2) During operation of ready mix truck, cranes, hoists, and certain bulk carriers or other auxiliary equipment built onto the vehicle or equipment that require power takeoff from the engine, provided that there is no visible discharge of smoke and the equipment is being used and operated for the purposes as originally designed and intended. This exception does not apply to operations of air conditioning equipment or systems.
