Rule 111-8-56-.07 - Social Service(1) Each home shall provide services to assist all patients in dealing with social and related problems through one or more case-workers on the staff of the facility or through arrangements with an appropriate outside agency.(2) Social service information concerning each patient shall be obtained and kept. This information shall cover social and emotional factors related to the patient's condition and information concerning his home situation, financial resources and relationships with other people.(3) All nursing personnel and employees having contact with patients shall receive social service orientation and in-service training toward understanding emotional problems and social needs of patients.(4) One person in each home shall be designated as being responsible for the social services aspects of care in the home.Ga.
