Section 10-145d-579 - Initial educator certificate requirementsTo receive an initial educator certificate for department chairperson, an applicant shall present evidence of meeting the following requirements, in addition to meeting the assessment requirements, as appropriate:
(a) Holds an appropriate Connecticut certificate;(b) Holds a master's degree from an approved institution or has completed 30 semester hours of credit in addition to the bachelor's degree;(c) Has completed in the total post baccalaureate program, at least six semester hours of graduate credit in instructional supervision and school administration, six semester hours of graduate credit in curriculum development, and six semester hours of graduate credit in the area for which the endorsement is sought; and(d) Has completed 30 school months of successful teaching experience in a public, approved nonpublic school or nonpublic school approved by the appropriate governing body in another state.Conn.
