Section 10-145d-577 - When required(a) This certificate or another appropriate certificate, shall be required for anyone employed by a board of education who is designated by the employing agent as a department chairperson and who has the responsibility for directing, coordinating or managing staff and resources.(b) Upon the written request from an employing agent, a person may receive an endorsement for a subject area or grade level, for which there is no current endorsement, provided the Department determines such endorsement to be appropriate.(c) A department chairperson whose job function requires summative evaluation of certified staff, shall be required to hold the intermediate administrator or supervisor certificate.Conn.
