Section 130.1002 - Minimizing Risk of InjuryEvery hospital shall:
(A) Ensure the provision of services to individuals through the use of safe needle devices or other technology that minimizes the risk of injury to health care workers from hypodermic syringes, needles, and sharps; and(B) Except as provided in 105 CMR 130.1005, use only such devices designed to reduce risk of percutaneous exposure to bloodborne pathogens.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1343, eff. 4/7/2017.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1472, eff. 6/24/2022.
