Section 1811.1 - Requirement to contract with an outside inspector generalThe Special Counsel shall enter into at least one agreement with the Inspector General of an agency under which-
(1) the Inspector General shall- (A) receive, review, and investigate allegations of prohibited personnel practices or wrongdoing filed by employees of the Office of Special Counsel; and(B) develop a method for an employee of the Office of Special Counsel to communicate directly with the Inspector General; and(2) the Special Counsel-(A) may not require an employee of the Office of Special Counsel to seek authorization or approval before directly contacting the Inspector General in accordance with the agreement; and(B) may reimburse the Inspector General for services provided under the agreement.87 FR 63407, Oct. 19, 2022
