Section 30.200 - What is a summary probate proceeding?(a) A summary probate proceeding is the disposition of a probate case without a formal hearing, which is conducted on the basis of the probate file received from the agency. A summary probate proceeding may be conducted by a judge or an ADM.(b) A decedent's estate may be processed summarily if the estate involves only funds in an IIM account and the total value of the estate does not exceed $300 on the decedent's date of death, including:(1) Funds deposited into the IIM account on or before the date of death; and(2) Funds accrued on or before the date of death.
