Section 8479 - Car Passers and Cherry Pickers(a) Where car passers of any type are used, a colored light operated by a worker at the car passer shall be used to signal the motorman.(b) A reverse grade away from the main track, or a positive stop or lock shall be provided on the car passer track to avoid the unexpected rolling of the car.(c) Cherry pickers shall be equipped with automatic locking devices that will prevent muck cars from falling when in the raised position.Cal.
