Section 6636 - Guarding Sheaves for Telescoping, Jackknife, Gin Pole and Cantilever Derricks and Masts(a) All crown block sheaves, sand line sheaves, and all sheaves on which hoisting ropes are run for raising or lowering the mast between the horizontal and vertical positions and for raising or lowering the top telescoping section of the mast, shall be provided with a device to minimize the possibility of ropes running off the side of the sheave.Cal.
