Section 4417 - Recognition of Local Compensatory Education Programs(a) Local school districts may provide compensatory education services using local funds and such local programs may be counted for the purposes of the intradistrict fund allocation plan, if it meets the requirements of 20 U.S.C. 2751(b)(1)(C) . The district must request advance determination by the California Department of Education that the local compensatory education program is approvable.(b) The district may provide school-level program description outlining the specific services provided under these locally-devised programs.
