(a) Children's restroom facilities shall meet the following requirements: (1) Be self-contained within the classroom or preschool complex and accessible only to preschool, transitional kindergarten, and kindergarten-age children. Restroom facilities designated for preschool children shall not be used by adults;(2) Be accessible to enrolled children during the entire school day;(3) Contain one toilet and one sink for every 15 preschool children, or fraction thereof, which shall be sized for use by preschool aged children; and(4) Provide additional aids and/or conveniences as needed to accommodate children with exceptional needs and/or developmental delays.(b) Hot water temperature at sinks that are used for handwashing, or where the hot water will be in direct contact with children, shall be set at a temperature that prevents scalding.(c) Soiled garments shall be stored in an air-tight container, inaccessible to children, that will not transmit communicable diseases or odors, create a nuisance, or provide a breeding place or food source for insects or rodents.
