Section 70555 - Physical Therapy Service Definition(a) Physical therapy service means those services to a patient by or under the supervision of a physical therapist to achieve and maintain the highest functional level with appropriate staff, space, equipment and supplies. Physical therapy services include but are not limited to: (1) Providing the physician with an initial written evaluation of the patient's rehabilitation potential.(2) Applying muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests.(3) Treating patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function.(4) Assisting patients to achieve and maintain maximum performance using physical means such as exercise, massage, heat, sound, water, light, ice, and electricity.Cal.
