Section 649.5 - Effect of Felon Status on the Eligibility of Victims and Derivative Victims(a) The fact that a victim is disqualified from receiving assistance under section 649.4(b) shall not affect the eligibility of a derivative victim of the same qualifying crime who is otherwise eligible for assistance.(b) The fact that a derivative victim is disqualified from receiving assistance under section 649.4(b) shall not affect the eligibility of a victim of the same qualifying crime who is otherwise eligible for assistance.Cal.
