When an inspection of any nonrechargeable fire extinguisher reveals a deficiency in any of the conditions listed in (3), (4), (5), (6), (7) or (9) of Section 574.2(b), it shall be discharged and removed from service.
EXCEPTION: Nonrechargeable extinguishers containing a halogenated agent shall be removed from service, not discharged, and returned to the manufacturer or local fire extinguisher distributor having the capability of recovering the halogenated agent.
