Section 95350 - Purpose, Scope, and Applicability

(a)Purpose. The purpose of this regulation is to achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions from the operation of electrical equipment that uses a GHG as an insulating medium.

(b)Applicability. The provisions of this subarticle apply to owners of gas-insulated equipment (GIE) that uses covered insulating gas. Any GIE owner who is subject to this subarticle must meet the requirements of this subarticle, notwithstanding any contractual arrangement that GIE owners may have with any third parties.
