Section 20 AAC 05.774 - Point system for the Southeastern Alaska shrimp pot fishery(a)Past Participation and Economic Dependence. The commission will award a maximum of 36 points to an applicant for participation in, and economic dependence on, the Southeastern Alaska shrimp pot fishery as follows: (1) the commission will award a maximum of 30 points to applicants who commercially harvested shrimp caught with pot gear from the fishery over the January 1, 1991 - December 31, 1995 time period based on the years in which they participated according to the poundage thresholds established for each year as follows: Year Pounds/Year Points At least 1,800 pounds 12 1995 At least 200 pounds, but less than 1,800 pounds 8 Less than 200 pounds 4 At least 2,400 pounds12 1994 At least 230 pounds, but less than 2,400 pounds 8 Less than 230 pounds 4 At least 2,150 pounds 9 1993 At least 300 pounds, but less than 2,150 pounds 6 Less than 300 pounds 3 At least 1,590 pounds 6 1992 At least 300 pounds, but less than 1,590 pounds 4 Less than 300 pounds 2 At least 1,950 pounds 3 1991 At least 330 pounds, but less than 1,950 pounds 2 Less than 330 pounds 1
(2) the commission will award 2 points to an applicant who commercially harvested at least 10,000 pounds of shrimp caught with pot gear over the 1991 - 1995 time period; and(3) the commission will award 4 points to an applicant who commercially harvested shrimp caught with pot gear in at least three calendar years from 1991 - 1995.(b)Consistent Participation and Economic Dependence. The commissioner will award a maximum of 22 points to an applicant for consistent participation and economic dependence based on the number of statistical weeks of the year in which the applicant commercially harvested the resource as a gear operator or based on the total poundage the applicant commercially harvested in a year as follows: Year Weeks of Participation, or Pounds/YearPoints 1995 at least seven weeks, or 3,250 pounds 10 1994 at least seven weeks, or 3,950 pounds 10 1993 at least seven weeks, or 3,400 pounds 7 1992 at least seven weeks, or 2,650 pounds 4 1991 at least nine weeks, or 4,600 pounds 1
