In order to assist the department in managing the leasing, exploration, and development of oil and gas resources underlying state land, and to achieve the purposes of AS 38.05.180(a), the director will, under the following circumstances, require submission of seismic exploration data and stratigraphic test data as a condition of the issuance of a land use permit to conduct seismic exploration field operations or to drill a stratigraphic test well:
(1) Within 30 calendar days after termination of any seismic exploration, the permittee shall notify the director, in writing, of all seismic exploration data obtained under the permit. Within 30 days after completion of the initial processing of the seismic exploration data, the permittee shall notify the director, in writing, of the availability of these processed seismic exploration data. The director reserves the right to inspect and require submission of seismic exploration data obtained under the permit for five years after notification by the permittee that initial processing has been completed. The permittee shall provide access to and upon request submit a reproducible copy of all seismic exploration data that are required by the director.(2) Unless the director grants an extension upon the permittee's written request, the permittee shall provide access to and upon request submit a reproducible copy of all test data acquired from a stratigraphic test well not later than 30 days after the well is plugged or abandoned.Eff. 3/21/81, Register 77; am 8/19/84, Register 91Authority:AS 38.05.020
