ORIGINAL PROCEEDING FROM TRAVIS COUNTY

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Relator has filed a petition for writ of mandamus, complaining that the Travis County Clerk has not filed an application for determination of heirship. See Tex. R. App. P. 52. We have jurisdiction to issue a writ of mandamus against a district or county judge within our district or to enforce our jurisdiction. See Tex. Gov't Code § 22.221; In re McCoy, No. 03-15-00073-CV, 2015 WL 513182, at *1 (Tex. App.—Austin Feb. 6, 2015, orig. proceeding) (mem. op.); In re Washington, 7 S.W.3d 181, 182 (Tex. App.—Houston [1st Dist.] 1999, orig. proceeding) (per curiam). Unless it is necessary to enforce our jurisdiction, we lack jurisdiction to issue a writ against a district clerk. In re Washington, 7 S.W.3d at 182. The petition for writ of mandamus is therefore dismissed for want of jurisdiction. See Tex. R. App. P. 52.8(a).
