R-1060 to R-1066, inclusive, respectively CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES September 13, 1939 On July 22, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision, Certification of Representatives, Direc- tion of Elections, and Order in the above-entitled proceeding.' The. Direction of Elections directed that, elections by secret ballot be conducted within twenty (20) days from the date of the Direction among all persons employed by Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc., and Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation, respectively, as illustrators in the art departments, costume illustrators, matte shot artists, assist- ants to matte shot artists, title artists, and heads of title departments, during the pay-roll period next preceding the date of issuance of the Direction of Elections, excluding those persons who have since quit or been discharged for cause, but including those persons who did not work during such pay-roll period because they were ill or on vacation,. 113 N. B., No. 29. 244 PARAMOUNT PICTURES, INC. 245 and persons who were then or have since been temporarily laid off, to determine whether or not such employees desire in the case of each Company, to be represented by The Society of Motion Picture Artists and Illustrators for the purposes of collective bargaining. Pursuant to the Direction, elections by secret ballot were conducted on August 9, 1939, among the above-described employees of Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation and on August 10, 1939,' among such employees of Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc., under the direction and supervision of the Acting Regional Director for the Twenty-first Region (Los Angeles, California). On August 15, 1939, the Acting Regional• Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of Na- tional Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, issued and duly served upon the parties her Election Report. No objections or exceptions to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the elections and their results, the Acting Regional Director reported as follows : WARNER BROS .
