Sheley v. Sheley

Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York
Sep 15, 2015
2015 N.Y. Slip Op. 84802 (N.Y. App. Div. 2015)

Summary

In Sheley v. Sheley, 272 Ill. 95, there was a devise of a life estate to a widow with remainder to the testator's children, but if any one or more of them should die without issue the share of the deceased child should revert back to the estate and be divided equally among all the surviving heirs — a devise almost identical with that in the Bolund will.
