In Reid v. Morton, 119 Ill. 118, it was held the exercise of powers by a city court under the provisions of the constitution of 1848 were only those which were judicial in their nature, and that the legislature could authorize the city court to order a guardian to sell land outside of the city when the ward resided within the city.
