Summary

In Griffin v. Pence (1963), 39 Ill. App.2d 31, 187 N.E.2d 545 (abstract of opinion), a provision stating that "no dwelling should be constructed on any lot at cost of less than $30,000 and that ground floor area of main structure should not be less than 1600 square feet" was held not subject to an interpretation which would prohibit the construction of an eight-unit apartment building or to require that each of the eight units be considered a "dwelling" and thereby contain not less than 1,600 square feet or cost not less than $30,000.
