Section 197.205 - License required to operate1. No person or governmental unit acting severally or jointly with any other person or governmental unit shall establish, conduct or maintain an ambulatory surgical center or abortion facility in this state without a license under sections 197.200 to 197.240 issued by the department of health and senior services.2. Nothing in sections 197.200 to 197.240 shall be construed to impair or abridge the authority of a governmental unit to license ambulatory surgical centers or abortion facilities, provided that any ordinance of a governmental unit shall require compliance with all rules, regulations, and standards adopted by the department to implement the provisions of sections 197.200 to 197.240.Amended by 2017SP2 Mo.
