Section 142A.2 - [Repealed Effective 7/1/2025] Definitions

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:

1."Commission" means the commission on tobacco use prevention and control established in this chapter.
2."Community partnership" means a public agency or nonprofit organization implementing the tobacco use prevention and control initiative in a local area in accordance with this chapter.
3."Department" means the department of health and human services.
4."Director" means the director of health and human services.
5."Initiative" means the comprehensive tobacco use prevention and control initiative established in this chapter.
6."Manufacturer" means manufacturer as defined in section 453A.1.
7."Pregnant woman" means a female of any age who is pregnant.
8."School-age youth" means a person attending school in kindergarten through grade twelve.
9."Tobacco" means both cigarettes and tobacco products as defined in section 453A.1.
10."Youth" means a person who is five through twenty-four years of age.
