This case is calendared for trial at a two-day remote special session of the Court beginning on November 6, 2023, for which Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is listed as the place of trial. On October 23, 2023, respondent's counsel contacted the Court requesting a continuance of the trial. On October 25, 2023, the undersigned held a conference call with the parties during which they agreed to reschedule the trial for December 18, 2023. The petition in this case was filed seven years ago, and this is the tenth time the case will have been continued. Absent extraordinary circumstances, the Court will not grant any further continuances.
Upon due consideration, it is
ORDERED that the Court's November 6, 2023, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, remote special session is cancelled. It is further
ORDERED that this case is calendared for a two-day remote special session beginning on December 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, shall be listed as the place of trial for this remote proceeding. It is further
ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall serve on the parties: (1) a Notice of Remote Proceeding that shall contain comprehensive instructions on how to participate in the Court's remote special session beginning December 18, 2023, and (2) a copy of the Standing Pretrial Order for that special trial session.
This Order constitutes official notice of its contents to the parties.
