United States District Court, D. Virgin Islands
Nov 26, 2003
Criminal No. 01-455-A (D.V.I. Nov. 26, 2003)

Opinion

Criminal No. 01-455-A

November 26, 2003

ORDER

Having been advised by the United States through a letter dated November 21, 2003 that it does not request any redactions to the defendant's pro se pleading docketed as #1116, it is hereby

ORDERED that the defendant's pro se pleading docketed as # 1116 be and is unsealed in its entirety.

In the November 21, 2003 letter, and another letter dated November 25, 2003, the United States has proposed redactions to the defendant'spro se pleadings docketed as #s 1117 and 1124. Finding that the proposed redactions strike the proper balance between the public's right to access records in criminal cases and the United States' legitimate concerns about the defendant's ability to use his pleadings inappropriately to communicate with the outside world, as well as to accommodate the United States' national security interests, it is hereby

ORDERED that the defendant's pro se pleadings docketed as #s 1117 and 1124 be and are unsealed with the indicated redactions.

The Clerk is directed to forward copies of this Order to counsel of record.
