DUSTIN SAIIDI & MARIA CARINA SAIIDI PADILLA, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Mark V. Holmes Judge

This case was on the February 12, 2024 Los Angeles, California trial calendar. We continued it again because informal discovery had not even gotten under way.

Respondent recently reported that she has completed her review of all documentation provided by petitioners and has provided an accounting of the expenses substantiated for petitioners' 2017 and 2018 tax years in conjunction with a settlement proposal. The parties have made significant progress in this case and believe to be susceptible to settlement without the need for trial. It is therefore

ORDERED that on or before October 7, 2024 the parties shall submit decision documents or respondent shall file a status report.
