Gen. No. 44,218. (Abstract of Decision.)
Opinion filed December 30, 1948 Released for publication January 18, 1949
DIVORCE, §§ 169, 173 — alimony. Where there was uncontradicted evidence that wife had made substantial cash contributions to create husband's incorporated business, and husband had continuously lived in another state after service of summons in wife's suit for divorce and was siphoning his assets out of Illinois, an allowance of alimony in gross was proper, and gross award of $100,000 was not excessive under evidence that wife was 51 years old and was a housewife without business experience and that husband's stock holdings had a book value in excess of $600,000.
