Denton County, Texas Trial Court No. CV-2022-00384-JP, Honorable Robert Ramirez, Presiding

Before QUINN, C.J., and PARKER and DOSS, JJ.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Per Curiam

Appellant Quintarius McKinnie, proceeding pro se, appeals from the trial court's judgment. McKinnie's brief was originally due July 13, 2022, but was not filed. By letter of July 21, 2022, we notified McKinnie that the appeal was subject to dismissal for want of prosecution, without further notice, if a brief was not received by August 1, 2022. To date, McKinnie has not filed a brief nor had any further communication with this Court.

Originally appealed to the Second Court of Appeals, this appeal was transferred to this Court by the Texas Supreme Court pursuant to its docket equalizations efforts. See Tex. Gov't Code Ann. § 73.001.

Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b).
