This case was continued from the Court's May 1, 2023 San Francisco, California trial calendar and forwarded to the IRS's Independent Office of Appeals for settlement consideration. The parties recently reported that they continue to exchange documents and most recently petitioner's counsel sent Appeals over 1,000 pages of exhibits. Informal discovery seems to be working, and the case can stay on status report track. It is
ORDERED that on or before October 23, 2023 the parties shall submit decision documents or file a joint status report describing any progress in narrowing the issues to be tried.
