Supplemental briefing ordered
On March 10, 2023, the State Bar of California Board of Trustees issued a public statement accompanied by redacted versions of two reports concerning the State Bar's handling of complaints against Thomas Girardi. (State Bar of Cal., News Releases, State Bar of California Releases Reports Detailing Past Unethical Conduct in Handling Girardi Complaints (Mar. 10, 2023) at < https://www.calbar.ca.gov/About-Us/News/News-Releases/state-bar-of-california-releases-reports-detailing-past-unethical-conduct-in-handling-girardi-complaints > [as of Mar. 13, 2023].) This disclosure appears to be relevant to the issues presented in this matter. The parties are hereby directed to meet and confer, and to file briefs apprising the court of the significance of the new disclosure to the issues set forth in this court's September 1, 2021, order to show cause.
The State Bar shall serve and file its brief within ten days of the date of this order. The petitioner shall serve and file a responsive brief within seven days after the timely filing of the State Bar's brief. The State Bar may serve and file a reply within seven days after the timely filing of the petitioner's brief.
