Kwik King v. Bennett

District Court of Appeal of Florida, First District
Apr 3, 1991
576 So. 2d 1368 (Fla. Dist. Ct. App. 1991)

Opinion

No. 90-2661.

April 3, 1991.

Appeal from the Judge of Compensation Claims, William D. Douglas, J.

Kathleen R. Hudson, St. Petersburg, for appellants.

Alfred L. Deutschman, Inverness, for appellee.

The employer carrier appeal a workers' compensation order which awards claimant one hour per day attendant care services for her daughter's performance of housekeeping duties. We reverse. An award of attendant care benefits solely for the performance of usual household duties by a family member is improper. Barkett Computer Service v. Santano, 568 So.2d 520 (Fla. 1st DCA 1990).

REVERSED.

NIMMONS, BARFIELD and ALLEN, JJ., concur.
