The reporter's record, requested by appellant on June 23, was due on July 26, 2021. On July 23, 2021, court reporter Karren Jones filed a request for an extension of time, noting that "the reason for the request is there were several reporters that took portions of the hearing and voluminous exhibits." We granted the request, making the record due August 25, 2021.
Ms. Jones has now filed a letter regarding the reporter's record in which she states she has the records from two of the reporters but has been unable to reach the official court reporter and does not have access to the exhibits. Because the Court does not allow incomplete reporter's records to be filed, Ms. Jones is unable to file her volumes and complete her obligation to the Court.
The rules of appellate procedure provide that the official court reporter is responsible for filing the reporter's record. Therefore, we ORDER official court reporter Charon Evans to file the complete reporter's record in these appeals within TWENTY DAYS of the date of this order.
We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Dominique Collins, Presiding Judge, Criminal District Court No. 4; to Charon Evans, official court reporter, Criminal District Court No. 4; to Karren Jones, deputy court reporter; to Janice Garrett, deputy court reporter; and to counsel for all parties.
