On Petition for writ of Mandamus
Before Chief Justice Contreras and Justices Benavides and Silva
ORDER
PER CURIAM.
Relator Eric Reyna has filed a petition for writ of mandamus asserting that the trial court erred by disregarding this Court's directives in a previous original proceeding and by denying relevant and necessary discovery. See In re Reyna, No. 13-24-00158-CV, 2024 WL 3943451, at *1 (Tex. App.-Corpus Christi-Edinburg Aug. 26, 2024, orig. proceeding) (mem. op.). Relator has also filed a motion for stay seeking to suspend the underlying trial court proceedings pending the resolution of his petition for writ of mandamus.
The Court, having examined and fully considered the motion for stay, is of the opinion that it should be granted. We grant the motion for stay, and we order the trial court proceedings to be stayed pending the resolution of this petition for writ of mandamus or further order of this Court. See TEX. R. APP. P. 52.10 (“Unless vacated or modified, an order granting temporary relief is effective until the case is finally decided.”).
The Court requests the real party in interest, McCoy Corporation d/b/a McCoy's Building Supply, or any others whose interest may be affected by the relief sought, to file a response to the petition for writ of mandamus on or before the expiration of ten days from the date of this order. See id. R. 52.2, 52.4, 52.8.
