On Appeal from the Probate Court No. 1 Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. PR-15-01517-1
Before Chief Justice Burns, Justice Molberg, and Justice Goldstein.
MEMORANDUM OPINION
ROBERT D. BURNS, III CHIEF JUSTICE.
In the notice of appeal, appellant states he is appealing the trial court's judgment signed on April 26, 2021. We questioned our jurisdiction over this appeal because the record does not contain a judgment signed on that date. As directed by the Court, appellant filed a letter brief addressing our concern.
The appellate timetable does not commence to run other than by signed, written order. See Farmer v. Ben E. Keith Co., 907 S.W.2d 495, 496 (Tex. 1995); Tex.R.App.P. 26.1. Thus, without a signed judgment or appealable order, there is nothing for this Court to review. See Parson v. Cole, No. 05-21-00086-CV, 2021 WL 960643, at *1 (Tex. App.-Dallas March 15, 2021) (mem. op.); In re D. C., Jr., No. 07-11-00046-CV, 2011 WL 691633, at *1 (Tex. App.-Amarillo Feb. 28, 2011, no pet.) (mem. op.).
Although appellant filed a letter brief, nothing therein demonstrates our jurisdiction over this appeal. Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(a).
JUDGMENT
