James Lavance CASON, Appellant, v. The STATE of Florida, Appellee.

James Lavance Cason, in proper person. Ashley Moody, Attorney General, and Magaly Rodriguez, Assistant Attorney General, for appellee.

James Lavance Cason, in proper person.

Ashley Moody, Attorney General, and Magaly Rodriguez, Assistant Attorney General, for appellee.

Before FERNANDEZ, LINDSEY, and MILLER, JJ.

PER CURIAM.

James L. Cason appeals an order granting his Rule 3.800(a) motion. The order on appeal is not an appealable order pursuant to Florida Rule of Appellate Procedure 9.140(b)(1)(D). This is because a defendant's right to appeal applies only to an order denying or partially denying post-conviction relief. See Brown v. State, 227 So. 3d 215, 216 (Fla. 3d DCA 2017) ; Dearriba v. State, 225 So. 3d 932, 934 (Fla. 3d DCA 2017). Because we lack jurisdiction, we dismiss this appeal.

Appeal dismissed.
