ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
This is a proper person appeal from a district court order denying a petition for a writ of mandamus or prohibition. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Susan Johnson, Judge.
Appellant filed the underlying petition for a writ of mandamus in the district court on November 14, 2011, requesting that the district court order the justice court to rule upon a “Motion for Satisfaction of Judgment” filed by appellant in the justice court in case number 11C017233 on October 13, 2011. The district court denied the petition on November 22, 2011, finding that the justice court case was ongoing and appellant had an adequate legal remedy in the form of an appeal from any adverse final judgment in the justice court. On February 1, 2012, appellant renewed her motion with the justice court. On April 9, 2012, the justice court heard and denied appellant's renewed motion. Therefore, because the relief that appellant sought in her petition has been accomplished, her appeal from the denial of the petition is moot. Personhood Nevada v. Bristol, 126 Nev. ––––, ––––, 245 P.3d 572, 574 (2010) (holding that this court's duty is to decide actual controversies and not to give opinions on moot questions). Accordingly, we
ORDER this appeal DISMISSED.
